The Wastewater Pollution Control Facility opened in 1984. This plant was expanded in 2010 and is able to to treat 6.0 million gallons of wastewater per day, using state of the art treatment technology to reduce the environmental impact from nutrients and other materials that are discharged from the plant. 

Maintenance of the sewer mains and manholes transporting raw sewage from the Town's customers to the treatment facility is the responsibility of this division. Other duties include making new connections, cleaning and televising mains, and Inflow and Infiltration abatement.

Each operator is required to obtain and maintain a license from the State of Virginia. Our staff has over 100 years of experience in wastewater treatment.
