What is GIS?
A geographic information system (GIS) integrates hardware, software, and data for capturing, managing, analyzing, and displaying all forms of geographically referenced information. GIS allows us to view, understand, question, interpret, and visualize data in many ways that reveal relationships, patterns, and trends in the form of maps, reports, and charts. GIS helps to answer questions and solve problems by looking at data in a way that is quickly understood and easily shared. – ESRI.com
GIS is a visual representation of geographically referenced data that is compiled from public records. Although all efforts have been made to present accurate information, this data is subject to constant change. The Town of Culpeper makes no warrantees or guarantees as to the accuracy or completeness of this data. Property Card information can be accessed online through Culpeper County’s E-Assessor Services. Please contact the County Clerk of Circuit Court to obtain actual legal descriptions, surveys/plats, and deeds on record.
